You can also walk to Bucklers Hard from here. It did seem somewhat disorganised when it got busy and staff were using two stations to make the coffees and bring them to the people in the queue. Abbey buildings and grounds interesting - amazing how much area it would have covered. Had a lovely chat with two of the gardeners. Plenty to see in the gardens including the topiary Alice in Wonderland mad hatters tea party. The mill pond walk was beautiful and fun to look out for the sculptures, wood carvings and fairy doors in the tree trunks. The house was lovely, with staff dressed in period costumes (with 21st century face masks). Spent some time in the motor museum, lots of interesting vehicles to see and read about. The mono rail is a very short trip, but good to get an aerial view of the gardens. Thought it was easy to drive in / out and car parking well sign posted. Our first visit to Beaulieu and certainly worth the ticket price. Fantastic grounds, features and care of customers. Overall though this was really a 95/100 visitor experience. Only criticism is that I found the web site a little awkward to fill in multi-forms on my phone, which was all I had with me, and also a little irritating that upon completing all the detail required I then immediately found a race against time with my tickets only being held for me for 5 minutes during the completion of booking and payment. The monorail afforded us a great view of the grounds in our limited time and the Motor Museum was immaculate in its cleanliness and preparation for visitors. Due to having to drive back to Essex that afternoon we only had a few hours so we incorporated the Motor Museum and monorail to our visit. It was quiet upon our visit on a Monday and hence covid measures had little impact due to lower visitor numbers.
